The job of copywriting is simply writing for things such as web pages, adverts, or even magazine columns. It’s just a bit of a posh word for “writing”. The writing community there is really supportive and they run quite a lot of little “challenges” that I find invaluable to keeping me motivated. They can even critique your writing, or you can simply lurk and learn!. One great idea is to write about your local area – this is something you know about, but will also need to research a little. I got started when I joined a challenge to write lots of travel articles about my local area, from visitor attractions, to hotels and methods of transport. It was great exercise for practising different writing skills – AND – I not only got paid for that through their affiliation, but I also won $200 in various draws simply by writing something and submitting it!
