Copywriting is a very well-paid profession.  Top copywriters can charge literally thousands of pounds just to write one apparently simple sales letter.  However, we all have to start somewhere and that somewhere is quite a long way from copywriting jobs that pay so handsomely!

The job of copywriting is simply writing for things such as web pages, adverts, or even magazine columns. It’s just a bit of a posh word for “writing”. They can even critique your writing, or you can simply lurk and learn!. One great idea is to write about your local area – this is something you know about, but will also need to research a little. I got started when I joined a challenge to write lots of travel articles about my local area, from visitor attractions, to hotels and methods of transport.
