If you’re a coder/programmer, then getting to grips with WordPress is really straight forward – and you’ve then got a marketable skill that sets you apart from the rest. Why spend three days coding something from scratch, when somebody else has done all the hard work for you? Or maybe you can take what other WordPress coders have written and improve it, or make it perfect for a niche market. Learning WordPress and offering WordPress skills is a niche you can build for yourself easily, then you can find more WordPress jobs doing freelance work on whole sites, or just coding parts of sites where clients have a specific need.
